We started making extrusion blow moulds since 2009. The parts draft designs provide by clients. After received the initial part designs from client, we will check the detail, analysis the part design and its plastic raw material. For some complicated parts, we may need to make the DFM report to show the client the detail problems on the part designs.The DFM report sent to client with PDF file or PPT file, from the report, client can get know the detail problems on the part design, and also would know the conception of the mould design. After presented the DFM report to client, client will discuss and tell us if they will need us to make the improvement for the part designs. Most of client will require us to change the part designs for them. As we know better on how to design the parts to fit for making moulds. In this way, we can save lots of time, because parts designs modified by us is faster.
§. Plastic extrusion blowing canisters mould 3D design
Once the parts 3D designs confirmed, we can start the mould 3D design. Before the mould 3D design, we need to know the detail plastic raw material shrinkage rate, injection machine detail specification, and the detail requirement on the moulds standard parts.
Our mould designers are quite knowledgeable and 10+ years experiences,they are qualified to figue out completed and excellent mold design with detailed ejector system,cooling system and runner system.mould main structure already come into mind, only if there are some small details need to discuss with client and make change on the mould 3D design. Such as limit switch, shot counter, which we didn't make them in the first time submited moulds design.
Precise tooling include cnc engraving tooling, high speed cnc milling tooling, EDM tooling, EDW tooling, etc.
CNC engraving tooling include high speed, middle speed and normal speed. The tooling precision high speed > middle speed > normal speed. So when parts require high precise, means tooling require high speed cnc engraving tooling. At the same time, the tooling cost high speed > middle speed > normal speed. So parts sizes tolerance request higher, the tooling cost higher.
Some sizes, like ribs, sizes are very small and narrow, can not be directly tooled by cnc engraving tooling. In this situation, we need to make electrode and tool the mold by EDM. Mainly electrode material include carbon and copper. Copper electrode cost is higher than carbon electrode. The advantage for copper electrode is that its life longer and not easy broken. So some very very small sizes EDM tooling will use copper electrode.
EDW tooling also used to tool small sizes, but which is 0° angle with straight direction. EDW tooling include slow speed and high speed. This tooling is different with cnc milling tooling and cnc engraving tooling. EDW tooling low speed sizes tooled more precise and cost higher.
4. Deep hole drilling tooling
Normally cooling lines and ejector pins holes are tooled by deep hole drilling tooling. As normal drilling machine tooling, holes may not straight. Therefor, especially for ejector pins holes, not allowed to be tooled by normal drilling machine.
5. plastic extrusion blowing canisters mould polish
After precise tooling finish and cooling lines and ejector pins holes ready tooled, moulds can be assembled and polished. Some home appliances mould need high shinning finish on the part surface, mould polish request is very high. Therefore this mould can't be polished by polishing machine, they need to be polished by manual.

Q4: How can I achieve satisfied product design?
Answer: In the begining, you may only have a rough product idea or rough product drawing, we are capable to make initial design and imporove the rough product drawing till to completed and satisfied drawing through effective mutual communication. Finally we will figure out the whole project secessfully.
Q5: How about delivery time?
Answer: The T1 trial time normally 25-70days depends on different mould. After trial samples are approved by client, moulds can be shipped within one week.
